Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) has a well-developed railway network with several railway stations serving the city. There are three main railway stations in Prayagraj:

1. Prayagraj Junction (PRYJ)

This is the primary and busiest railway station in the city. It is one of the major railway hubs in northern India, catering to a large number of trains connecting Prayagraj to various cities across the country. It was formerly known as Allahabad Junction until its name was changed to Prayagraj Junction in 2018.

2. Prayagraj Chheoki Junction (PCO)

Located in the southern part of the city, Prayagraj Chheoki is another important station, handling a significant amount of passenger and freight traffic. It is a key junction for trains traveling towards Kanpur, Varanasi, and other destinations in Uttar Pradesh.

3. Prayagraj Rambagh Railway Station

This station is located closer to the heart of the city and serves as a smaller, but important, station. It handles local and suburban trains, especially those traveling between Prayagraj and nearby cities or towns.
